Nightstands don’t get enough love when it comes to furniture or design in general. We spend so much time discussing sofas and dining tables. Most of us don’t think about nightstands at all unless it’s time to redecorate our bedroom. They’re one of the pieces of furniture that I rarely get asked about. I can’t remember the last time someone asked me about where to buy a nightstand or which company makes the best products. Maybe it’s because they’re hidden away in our private sanctuary and nobody but us sees them. We tend to deemphasize those private spaces and focus our energy on our main living areas. And let’s face it, if you have a big home and a family, our principal bedroom is often the last place to get our attention.
I want to argue in favour of the nightstand though. They aren’t just practical but they can also elevate your bedroom.
