Family Room with Open Staircase
This family room effortlessly pairs the classic appeal of Benjamin Moore’s White Dove with the client’s favored blue, creating a clean and warm space that feels both classic and inviting. The color White Dove adds warmth to the room, providing a soft backdrop that is more inviting than stark white. Blue accents, a nod to the client’s love for the color and a subtle hint to nautical themes, enliven the space. A carefully considered open staircase becomes a focal point, with artwork scaled to complement the ceiling’s height and the staircase’s architecture. The handrail and newel posts are updated in Benjamin Moore’s Black Beauty, lending a striking contrast to the bright surroundings. To illuminate the space, a trio of lights at varying heights are strategically placed, ensuring the open ceiling is adequately lit while adding a dynamic visual element to this beautifully designed family room.
