This is the fourth year that I’ve created this gift guide and I think it gets better every year. In case you’re interested, here are the previous guides from 2021, 2022 and 2023. You may find many of the items still in stock but even if they’re not it can provide you with some holiday recommendations to inspire your shopping this year.
As for this year’s list, this is a collection of things I want to buy for myself or as a gift for a special someone. I love to bring a little heartfelt something whether it’s for someone special in my life or as a hostess gift. I think something even really small can feel significant and special to those you’re sharing the holiday season with.
PAM’S HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE
1/ CALL IT HOME COFFEE TABLE BOOK
I love gifting people with a design book because these can provide endless hours of beautiful inspiration. They also look great as a display object and can provide a bit of height for decorating shelves or a table. Find your favourite and keep it in heavy rotation for a quick but beautiful and thoughtful gift this holiday season.
2/ SNOW BERRY SCENTED CANDLE
It’s hard to find a candle scent that hasn’t been overdone regardless of the season. I love the typical winter scents of pine and vanilla but I’m always on the lookout for something unique and special. Snow berry is a beautiful scent that hasn’t been overdone and to make it even better, the beautiful packaging is perfect for gifting because it’s so elegant.
3/ FESTIVE COCKTAIL NAPKINS
If you’re heading to a dinner party or a cocktail party this holiday season and you need a beautiful hostess gift, look no further. These adorable embroidered napkins are perfect for the next get together, regardless of who’s hosting. As a hostess I always appreciate when someone brings me a gift that’s not just beautiful but also useful.
4/ HOLIDAY MACARON TOWER
If you love to support small Canadian businesses and also need to feed a crowd that loves a sweet treat, this is for you. This little sister-owned company is headquartered in Manitoba but can ship Canada wide. This macaron tower is just one of the gorgeous holiday options for your next get together. Use this to create a stunning centrepiece and then let your guests dig in and enjoy.
5/ RED BIRD HOLIDAY PILLOW
If you don’t want your home transformed into Santa’s workshop, pillows are a great way to add some seasonal festivity without going overboard. This little bird adds a touch of winter whimsy. If you’re looking for a gift that feels seasonal rather than specific to Christmas a pillow is perfect.
6/ SILVER JINGLE BELL HOLIDAY WREATH
This is a sweet gift that will enhance a front door or window during the holiday season. Little silver bells will integrate nicely into any home and give a nod to the holidays with its appearance and soft jingling. This is sure to be a favourite for young kids who are anticipating Santa’s visit.
7/ HOLIDAY WINE BAG
Sometimes the best and most appropriate hostess gift is a nice bottle of wine. In that case, I always love to bring it in a special wine bag and this one is perfect for the holiday season. Nothing says Christmas like red velvet, candy cane striped fabric and a couple of pom poms. And who knows, maybe you’ll receive it back at your home next year.
8/ SPARKLE COUPES
The holidays can wreak havoc on our dishware and glassware collections so it’s nice to gift your host and hostess with something beautiful they can use. These champagne coupes will make even the simplest event feel more glamorous. And if you really want to go all out you can include your favourite bottle of champagne for a really special gift.
9/ HERMES PILLOW
This isn’t your average holiday pillow but if you have someone really special on your list, it’s hard to go wrong with Hermes. This pillow comes in 3 different colourways so you can select the one that goes best with their decor. This pillow cover is 100% cashmere so it can provide endless hours of comfortable lounging after the holiday season. And if you love it you can still add it to your own list before the big day arrives.
10/ WHITE CERAMIC HOLIDAY HOUSES
I love the monochromatic village that you can create with these little houses. Just add a flameless tealight to give it an extra glow. The best part is that you could add to this collection year after year and create a very special, minimal holiday village over time.
I hope this list helps to check off a few more people from your list this year. If you’re planning a project for 2025, reach out to me. I’d love to help you design your dream home and achieve big things in the upcoming year.
Happy holidays!
