It feels as though I was just talking about decorating our backyards for entertaining and in the blink of an eye we’ve moved on and are sharing holiday gift ideas. I’m a huge fan of the holidays and I’ve learned that the key to enjoying it all is in the preparation and organization.
Try as I might I always seem to be running around until the last minute but this year’s going to be different, I swear! If you’re feeling the same kind of energy around getting better organized for the holiday season then take a look at this year’s holiday guide. I think this is my best yet but if you want to review the other years here are the holiday gift guides from 2024, 2023, 2022 and 2021.
Pam’s Holiday Gift Guide
1/ STONEWARE CHARGER PLATE
I love a festive table but if you don’t want to invest in seasonal dinnerware consider something like these stoneware chargers in this beautiful burgundy. You’ll be able to entertain in holiday style with just a hint of holiday red. The best part is you won’t need to pack these dishes up and store them away after the holidays. They’ll be in rotation all year and will come to be the star again on Valentine’s Day.
2/ CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE VELVET LIPSTICK IN ROUGE VIE
If there’s ever a time of year for a red lip it’s the holiday season. I don’t often wear red throughout the year but the holidays make me feel like being a bit more bold. And this is also a great hostess gift. If you don’t want to bring flowers or wine this would be such a nice treat for a stressed out hostess.
3/ LADUREE MACARONS
You don’t have to travel to France to get Laduree macarons. No matter where you live in Canada you can have them delivered to your door or the door of your lucky recipient. This is a great gift for the sweets lover that is in a different province and you want an outstanding and delicious gift.
4/ BEADED WINE HOLDER TOTE
I always bring wine when I’ve been invited to someone’s home but during the holidays I really want to step up the game so I’m always on the hunt for the best wine bags. This gorgeous cotton bag is adorned with glass beads and looks so luxe.
5/ HONEYCOMB COUPE GLASSES
Who doesn’t need glasses during the holidays. Since most of us are indulging a bit more during the holidays this is a thoughtful and beautiful gift for anyone who enjoys entertaining.
6/ METALLIC BALL HOLIDAY WREATH
Whether you buy this for yourself or a friend, someone is going to be very thrilled with this charming metallic wreath. I love the whimsy and the combination of the gold, silver and bronze is such a classic combo. This is a wreath that you will be excited to pull out of storage year after year.
7/ KNIT STRIPE STOCKING
This is a great gift on its own or if you want to fill it up with smaller gifts it makes the perfect parcel tote. It’s available in green, red or multi-colour and is made from 100% wool.
8/ WOOD HOLIDAY NUTCRACKER
Nothing is as quintessentially Christmas as a nutcracker but I love the modern twist on this one. These are made from cast aluminum, iron and zinc along with hard carved wood. They come in both 12” and 18” sizes.
9/ OMG SANTA! I KNOW HIM DOORMAT
Calling all ELF lovers. If this Christmas movie plays on repeat in your home during the holidays then run to Pottery Barn and get this doormat. For anyone who loves to entertain you know what an issue it can create when the snow starts flying. I don’t want messy boots in my house so a doormat is essential but why not make it Christmas coded as well.
10/ ICED EVERGREEN CANDLE
I love any reason to buy new candles, particularly scented candles. A good scent can mimic the entire season and make us feel cozy inside our homes. Iced evergreen is evocative of the holiday season with hints of pine and spruce. And once the candle is finished you’ll have a lovely glass bowl to reuse as a small storage container.
I hope that helps you get started on some early Christmas shopping. If you need any help with your home, reach out to me. I’m happy to have a call and let you know how we can help you get your dream home.
